Hi all! There is still much to be done before this blog will be up and running beautifully, but I though I would get things going content-wise as everything else comes together. While this will serve as a space to read updates and goings on of our Etsy shop, I will also be sharing some of my day-to-day inspirations, thriftiness and handmade projects. I’m so excited to start updating this more and hope you’ll enjoy some of the same things I do.
One of my favorite things to do for inspiration and for the shop is to scour the Philadelphia Flea Market, which just so happened to be this morning. The Eastern State Penitentiary provided a hauntingly gorgeous backdrop to the tables and tables of vintage goodies. I didn’t have as much time as I had hoped to pick over everything (which sadly meant banning myself from even peeking at the clothes), but I did come away with loads of neat stuff for the shop. I’m most excited about an old dress form that will act as a mannequin for the shop’s future clothing section! Here are some shots I took along the way:
How sweet is this pretty flea market kitty? I was so impressed with her ability to stay calm on her leash while the floods of people came through. I’m positive my little guy wouldn’t have had the same patience.
Hope you are enjoying the oncoming flea market season too!
